      <image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>Ryan G. Powell is a film and multimedia composer who has provided work for a variety of award-winning short films, advertisements, and other projects, most recently for NASA as a NASA Psyche Inspired Intern, where he was selected as one of 16 undergraduate students around the country to create and innovate to educate and excite the public about the Psyche Mission of 2022. He is a constant collaborator with Antonio Corsi, recently having worked on his Regional Student Emmy Winning PSA, Don’t Send The Reply. Ryan is an assistant to film composer Christopher North of Grammy winning Two Trains Runnin’ and All in Time. He was also an intern at production company QDepartment in 2018-2019. Ryan is a second generation immigrant from Germany, also having spent part of his childhood there. He is an incoming screen scoring master’s student at NYU. By mixing elements of the musically familiar, the musically unfamiliar, and sound design, Ryan seeks to innovate to capture the subtle emotions that can’t be put into words. Inspiration lies in Trent Reznor, Hans Zimmer, Michael Giacchino, Marco Beltrami to name a few.</image:caption>

<image:caption>"When An Asteroid Named Psyche was complete, I listened to it from a hotel room late at night and was so affected by its authenticity and humanity. Right away I sent it around to the whole mission team, hundreds of people, and I know from their emails back how many people felt united by this work. This is the power of animation and song: It connects people, and it connected us across the team, engineers, scientists, managers, financial analysts, media people, all together with one vision."</image:caption>
